Collection of autograph letters signed, including one each from George Stephenson, Robert Stephenson, James Watt, etc., lists of proprietors of lands on the sites of railroads, and various other documents (more numerous than the letters).

Lot 147 Brunel, Isambard Kingdom.

Letterbook, 2 volumes, indexed. Also includes copies of minutes and resolutions of various meetings of Boards, etc., for whom Brunel was working as engineer; subjects include docks, bridges, etc. as well as railways.

Book of reference of a portion of the projected line of the Northern Railway from London to Cambridge, containing names of owners and occupiers of property to be taken under authority of an Act for making a railroad from London to Cromford.

Original water-color drawings, for bridges and other works to be constructed, mostly on London and Birmingham Railway. Includes some 14 lithographs, some of the drawings, some of the originals elsewhere. Note: This has been catalogued as a Rare Book, and has Rare Book call number 10030. It was transferred to the Manuscripts Department in 1929.
