    Biographical / Historical

    Malacologist Dr. Joshua Longstreth Baily, Jr. (1889-1981) was a board member and research associate at the San Diego Natural History Museum. He later became President of the San Diego Historical Society and American Malacological Union. He was a life member of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom and regular contributor to The Nautilus journal on the topics of western U.S. land snails, California marine mollusks, and nomenclature.
