The De Laurentiis Entertainment Group photographs span the years circa 1986-1989 and encompass 29.8
linear feet. The collection consists of black-and-white and color prints, proof sheets, transparencies,
and slides of motion picture production photographs.
The De Laurentiis Entertainment Group was formed by producer Dino De Laurentiis in 1983. The company
produced and distributed numerous films including BLUE VELVET (1986), CRIMES OF THE HEART (1986),
MANHUNTER (1986), and NEAR DARK (1987). In 1988 De Laurentiis Entertainment Group filed for bankruptcy
and was taken over by Village Roadshow.
