Description
The Floyd M. Martinson Collection consists primarily of reproductions of secondary source material used by Dr. Martinson in his research regarding the family and the development of sexuality in children.
Background
A native of Minnesota, Dr. Floyd M. Martinson (1916-2000) was a professor of Sociology and Anthropology (1945-1982) and a Research Professor (1982-2000) at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. Dr. Martinson wrote prolifically regarding the family and the development of sexuality in children and is best known for The Sexual Life of Children (1994). Several of his writings are available online at the Floyd M. Martinson Memorial Republication Project.
