Two copies of the deed of grant and one copy of the deed of gift, issued by Jane Lathrop
Stanford via the Board of Trustees in 1901. Parchment and ink, tied with red ribbons and
sealed with red sealing wax, each copy is signed by Jane Stanford and other university
officials.
