The Women's Philharmonic collection consists of mixed materials reflecting this organization's administrative and artistic lifespan which ranged from 1981 to 2004. A brief overview of this collection's contents includes: programs; photographs; biographical materials of composers, conductors and guest artists; orchestra personnel rosters; financial and grant records; fund raising activities; audience surveys and marketing efforts; concert production notes; correspondence which ranges from office memoranda to letters from Nan Washburn, Elizabeth Min, Miriam Abrams, JoAnn Falletta, Apo Hsu and others ; music library materials and catalogs; female composer and conductor initiative materials such as the National Women's Composer Resource Center as well as press and reviews collected during its twenty-four year history.
