E.G. Crichton is an interdisciplinary artist and Professor Emerita of Art at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The collection documents a selection of Crichton’s artistic and curatorial work, including a 1991 collection of blueprint scrolls entitled “Graffiti Flowcharts;” the 1992 photo triptych “Talking Back;” a book produced from Lost and Found, a 2001 San Francisco Public Library exhibition co-curated with Kim Anno; invitations, name tags, table cloths, embroidered napkins, and photographs from the 2008 performance conversation “Affair-on-the-Green,” produced in collaboration with Laruen Crux; digital videos from the "Migrating Archives" project; and photographic portraits, chat boards, and informational text from “Lineage: Matchmaking in the Archive,” an ongoing project that Crichton first developed as Artist-in-Residence at the GLBT Historical Society from 2008-2014. Also included are 1970s political posters, including a number commemorating International Women’s Day; periodicals; and records documenting Crichton’s work with the GLBT Historical Society’s Museum and Curatorial committees in the 2010s.
