    George Sherman was an American director and producer active in film from the 1930s to 1971.

    Collection Scope and Content Summary

    The George Sherman papers span the years 1937-1992 and encompass 4.6 linear feet. The collection contains publicity for a handful of films directed by Sherman, clippings, some correspondence and fan mail, three scrapbooks, and photographs. The bulk of the subject file material appears to have been collected and assembled between 1979 and 1992.
