This keepsake is presented by the 'San Diego Contingent' of the Zamorano Club and the San Diego Trust and Savings Bank. It was compiled by Ed. Davidson and Eddy Orcutt and illustreated by Miss Eunice Orcutt. This is the eleventh printing of the original edition copyrighted in 1929.
It gives a brief history of San Diego from the discovery by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in September 1542 to the founding of The herald, the first weekly Newspaper in 1851, and ends with the founding of the San Diego Trust and Savings Bank in 1888. This Keepsake has been produced as a companion piece to the facsimile reprint of Ancient Customs used in a Printing-House, from Joseph Moxon's Mechanick Exercies, 1683. Fifty copies have been printed for the companions of the Moxon Chappel. A subsequent 350 copies have been printed for the Typophiles, and another 100 copies for future use of potential new Chappels."

The cover paper, Arches Cover Buff, was printed letterpress and the interior paper, Rives Heavyweight, was printed on an Hp Laserjet 8100N; the frontispiece was printed by Creative Visual Concepts.
