The Robert Ignatius Burns papers contain three boxes of Burns' personal papers and four boxes of his collected Spanish and
Italian manuscripts. The manuscripts date between 1212 and 1608. Robert Ignatius Burns (1921-2008) was a scholar of medieval
history who taught at the University of San Francisco and the University of California Los Angeles.
All requests for permission to publish or quote from manuscripts must be submitted in writing to the Manuscripts Librarian.
Permission for publication is given on behalf of Special Collections as the owner of the physical items and is not intended
to include or imply permission of the copyright holder, which must also be obtained.
