Scope and Contents

This series contains memorandums, clippings, correspondence, flyers, press releases, promotional material and other documents related to the Ash Grove music venue. Material relates to efforts to create a new Ash Grove in the 1980s as well as the operations of the relocated Ash Grove in the 1990s at the Santa Monica Pier and contains letters of support; blueprints; investor lists and memorandums; financial documents; press releases; mailing lists; board of directors meeting minutes; programming ideas; booking sheets and contacts; artist contracts; clippings; and material related to artists and musicians such as headshots, clippings, and other promotional material. Also included in this series are documents regarding the Ash Grove v. Standard Pacific lawsuit, Ash Grove bankruptcy, Ash Grove produced events at the 1st Unitarian Church, in San Pedro, and the Improv; material related to the Ash Grove foundation, Ash Grove music archives project, and Ash Grove film; and material related to 30th and 50th anniversaries. This series is arranged into three sub-series.

Scope and Contents

This sub-series contains material related to the efforts to create a new Ash Grove in the 1980s as well as the operations of the relocated Ash Grove in the 1990s at the Santa Monica Pier such as: blueprints, letters of support, board of directors meeting minutes, and business plans.
