Contains postcards primarily of maritime scenes in California, Washington, and Alaska, circa 1900-1940. There are 15 images
(14 color letterpress halftone postcards and 1 color collotype postcard).
- Item 01. Colosseum in Rome, Italy, circa 1905. 1 color letterpress halftone postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 in. Addressed to Captain "Jack" Leale, SPRR Co. [Southern Pacific Railroad Company], San Francisco, California. Postmarked May 26, 1905.
- Item 02. Alaska-Juneau Gold Mining Company Mill, Juneau, Alaska, circa 1927. 1 color letterpress halftone postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 in. Printed on the front: "Alaska-Juneau Gold Mining Co.'s Mill, Juneau, Alaska." Postcard no. 23128 published by the Juneau Chamber of Commerce. Address and correspondence on the verso. - Item 05. Golden Gate at sunset, San Francisco Bay, California, circa 1900-1920. 1 color letterpress halftone postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 in. A two-masted schooner is underway on the right and two steamships are underway in the distance. Printed on front: "S.F. 29-Beautiful Sunset / Golden Gate, San Francisco." Published by the Pacific Novelty Company.
- Item 06. Stockton Channel, Stockton, California, circa 1900-1920. 1 color letterpress halftone postcard, 3.5 x 5.5 in. A large ferry and several small craft are docked in the channel.
