Description
A collection of research material on early French explorations in the Lake Erie region, collected by William Holland Samson, American editor and historian.
Background
William Holland Samson (1860-1917) was born in Le Roy, Genesee County, New York. He was a writer and managing editor for the Rochester Post-Express; Samson also studied the early history of Western New York and the Seneca Native Americans.
