    Content Description

    The William Alschuler Papers on the Creation of College Seven include materials related to William Alschuler's time as a graduate student at UC Santa Cruz and his involvement in the Committee for Ethnic Studies, the Committee for Colleges, along with materials about Dr. Herman Blake. Much of this material has to do with the creation of College Seven, now Oakes College, and the attempt to originally name it Malcolm X College.
