RG 3: Office of Administration

Scope and content:

Contains correspondence, reports, detailed financial records, federal and state corporate tax returns, grant files, and other documents collected by the Office of Administration in its coordination of the multitude of programs, projects, and activities undertaken by the other components of the organization. It also contains the personnel records for core Council personnel, as well as files documenting personnel and policy procedures in the Council.

Biographical / historical:

The Office of Administration oversees the day-to-day financial and planning operations of the National Council of La Raza. The Office of Administration initially maintained the accounting and fiscal oversight component of the Council. In the late 1980's, this Office was spun off as a separate entity within the Council.

Restrictions:

Personnel files are restricted until 2066.

Parent restrictions:
Collection is open for research; material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Personnel files are restricted until 2066. Contract files indicating contractor income are also restricted until 2066. Videotape materials require at least a two-week waiting period between they are requested and when they can be made available, to allow for use copies to be made from the master tapes. Accession 2005-068, 53 cartons, is unavailable until processing is complete. Digital collection is closed until processed.
Parent terms of access:
