Series 6. Project RAICES / SHO files

Biographical / historical:

Project RAICES (Redevelopment Assistance in Community Enterprises and Services) had been the main vehicle for providing technical assistance to NCLR's affiliates and other Hispanic community-base organizations. Changing institutional needs amongst affiliates lead the Council to reorganize and rename RAICES to Project SHO (Strengthening Hispanic Organizations) to reflect a renewed emphasis on organizational development assistance. Project SHO/RAICES is divided into Midwest/Northeast, Texas, and California/Farwest components.
