Divided into three sub-series: incoming, outgoing, and letters written neither to Gladys Tilden nor by her. Principal correspondents' (those who wrote seven or more letters, or who received seven or more letters) file before those who wrote or received lesser amounts. All are arranged alphabetically and chronologically where appropriate. The folder containing the letters neither written to nor from Miss Tilden are arranged alphabetically by name of writer.
