Scope and content:

The majority of the files in this series contain installation shots from exhibitions organized by and presented at the Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) between 1964 and 1998, as well as stills from individual artworks. Portraits of artists are also included in some of the files. Additionally, there are a few instances of correspondence present in the series, usually between the artist and staff members of LBMA. This series contains photographic prints, negatives, contact sheets, and transparencies. All prints are black and white unless otherwise indicated. When known, the dates of works are indicated in parentheses following titles. Other dates refer to exhibitions, which may be different from the dates of the works.

Arrangement:

This series is arranged alphabetically by artist's last name. Works by unknown artists are filed at the end.
