This collection includes Shuman's observer notebook, articles, clippings and transcripts of the 1961 trial of Adolf Eichmann in Jerusalem.

Biographical / historical:

In 1961, Labron K. Shuman, an attorney from Philadelphia, went to Israel at the request of the Association of American and Canadians in Israel, to attend the trial of Adolf Eichmann. In a series of articles and lectures he analyzed the Eichman trial, calling attention to the difficulties that faced the judges, the prosecution and the witnesses and the complexities of the whole case.
