Scope and content:

Containing correspondence and submissions, the contributor files document the writers, photographers and graphic artists who had their work published in High Performance. The number of contributors increased substantially after the original documentary format of the magazine was abandoned in 1982. From that point on, the files also contain numerous article pitches and unsolicited work, much of which was ultimately rejected for publication. Because Burnham and Durland frequently hired artists to write about other artists, this series shows a certain amount of overlap with Series I above.
