This series consists of accounting files, committee and council materials (UC and UCI), administrative records (UC and UCI), information systems materials, records management program files, budget and fiscal planning documents and campus computing materials (UC and UCI). This series includes material from the Accounting Office, the Business Affairs Office, and Central Campus Administration, including the Chancellor's Office.
Public ceremonies and special events documented in this series include Chancellor Aldrich's 1966 inauguration, UCI Site dedication, Celebrate UCI, UCI Open House, and UCI Commencement in various years.
UC material of note in this series includes the UC Controversial Issues file, with material on Angela Davis, Cesar Chavez, the Chicago Seven, campus strikes, the Vietnam Moratorium, etc. Also included in this series is a file entitled Questionnaires, Inquiries and Surveys (Non-UC), which includes Orange County survey materials and an ethnic survey file.
Some material in this series was originally filed by academic year (i.e. Fall-Summer quarter is an academic year). As a result, more than one folder may contain material of the same year, for example:
- 395-26 Open House (By academic year)
- 1973-1974
- 1974-1975
1973-74 includes January-August (Winter-Summer quarters) of 1974 and 1974-75 includes September-December (Fall quarter) of 1974.

This series is organized by Central Records file numbers 300-399 and arranged alphabetically by subject, except where chronological order was originally established by Central Records.
