Scope and content:

The series contains files for twenty-five books written by, or in a few cases co-authored by Bob Thomas. The series is further arranged alphabetically into subseries by book project title and includes: Subseries 1. Astaire, the Man, the Dance; Subseries 2. The files within each subseries includes a mixture of original typescript, carbon, and/or photocopied drafts of manuscript pages, photographs that may or may not have been used in Thomas' publications, and research material comprised mostly of newspaper and magazine clippings (original and photocopied) and holograph notes of interviews conducted by Thomas. Additionally, files may also include drafts of columns written by Thomas, an occasional note to Thomas, and a very small amount of publicity biographies of various individuals. The files within each subseries are arranged alphabetically by file titles. A small portion of file titles were created or enhanced by the processor. Thomas's name often appears in the abbreviated form, B.T.
