This series contains the files maintained by Margulies while producing the miniseries The Mystic Warrior. These files include scripts titled both Hanta Yo and The Mystic Warrior, a production binder and publicity information.

Biographical / historical:

The Mystic Warrior, based on the book Hanta Yo by Ruth Beebe Hill, aired as a miniseries on ABC in 1984. Margulies, along with Wolper, received an executive producer's credit. The miniseries, which tells the story of the Mahto band of the Teton Sioux, was held in production for many years while the producers consulted with the Sioux and other Indian groups to make sure that the show was accurate in its depiction of Native American life. The show won one Emmy and was nominated for three others.
