Collection contains three oversize panoramic images of San Francisco: two aerial views taken after the earthquake and fire of 1906 by George R. Lawrence (who developed a system of kites and wires - his patented "Captive Airship" - which supported a panoramic camera hundreds of feet above ground); and one view taken in 1910. The aerial points of view include the following locations: above the Ferry Building area of the waterfront (May 28, 1906); above Folsom between Fifth and Sixth Sts. (South of Market District, May 5, 1906); and above Union Square (1910). Each view is divided into three photographic prints.
