The 1906 San Francisco Earthquake and Fire Digital Collection

Miscellaneous, 1906

Extent:
88 items
Scope and content:

The miscellaneous views included here have no identified photographer and it is not clear who submitted them to the State Earthquake Investigation Commission. They have been grouped together by the library as an organizational convenience, but they contain diverse subject matter. In addition to urban San Francisco views and images of damaged structures in various locales, they consist of landscape views documenting activity along the line of the San Andreas fault. Geographically, they range from Santa Rosa, in Sonoma County, south to Santa Barbara County.
