Scope and content:

Contains María Rosa Lida de Malkiel's professional files which include correspondence, teaching materials, lectures, organizations, awards, grants, and writings. Her numerous writings, many published by Yakov Malkiel postumously, consist of handwritten manuscripts, typescript drafts, reprints, and research notes. María Rosa's personal papers include correspondence with her family and friends, letters of condolence upon her death, biographical materials and photographs, documents, educational materials including her diploma and school notes. The majority of María Rosa's papers are in Spanish with some in English.
