This series contains a wide range of correspondence from professional contacts, faculty, politicians to local residents of Santa Cruz county. Additional correspondence may also be found in the subject files.
A "Single letter list" can be found under "Additional Collection Guides". This inventory generally consists of individual letters, invitations, congratulations, etc. that were not foldered when the collection was processed. In the interest of time, these letters were alphabetized by last name and foldered under the appropriate letter of the alphabet. This inventory is an A-Z list of that correspondence.
Please note: Some of the sheets were damaged in the 1971 fire in the Chancellor's office. Occasionally there might be a yellow stub sheet documenting material that was destroyed. They have been left in place. Some files also contain sheets that were smoke damaged and still smell.
- Arrangement:
-
Donor order has been kept. The correspondence is arranged alphabetically by last name.
