Scope and content:

Administrative Office files consist largely of records most likely maintained by BCA executive secretary Reverend K. Fujinaga during the 1960s and 1970s at BCA headquarters in San Francisco. Records document the core operations of the BCA and include daily administrative concerns as well. As ministers frequently corresponded with and sent reports to BCA headquarters, records from and relating to ministers are found throughout this series.

Additionally, there are documents relating to BCA's establishment and corporate governance, including documents of incorporation, bylaws, board meeting minutes, annual reports, office diaries, policies, and committee records. There are also records of and relating to district temples and affiliated temples and organizations in both Canada and Hawaii. Financial documents relating to budgets, insurance, the trust, and ministerial retirement funds can be found in this series as well.

Youth and education related material such as Buddhist Sunday School Teacher's League directories, BCA Sunday School Committee minutes, Young Buddhist Association meeting minutes, and Youth Department communications are found here, as are files relating to the Minister's Annual Meeting. There are also materials related to BCA's Archives Project including materials related to the National Historical Publications and Records Commission (NHPRC) Grant proposal, committee, and budget, the archival board meetings, policies, procedures, and reports.

Access and use
