Scope and content:: Consists of drafts and final versions of writings, articles, book reviews and speeches by Allen. Topics includes race relations, racism, ethnic studies, desegration (busing), parenting boys, capitalism and pornography. Includes two folders of correspondence and materials collected while conducting research for renowned civil rights leader and educator Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays in 1968.
