Background

Scope and content:

This collection consists primarily of recordings of oral histories of Palestinians conducted by May Seikaly. The recordings include audio cassettes and digital files. There are also summaries, transcripts, releases, photographs, and ephemera. The ephemera includes maps, pamphlets, newspaper clippings, articles and other materials.

The audio cassettes are arranged chronologically by year, and arranged alphabetically within each year.

May Seikaly is a professor emerita of Arabic at Wayne State University, who focuses on the social history of Arab societies.

Restrictions:

Open for research. Note that material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Audiovisual & born-digital materials are not available in original format, and must be reformatted to a digital use copy.
