Scope and content:

Consists of the contents of a deconstructed scrapbook kept by award-winning disk jockey Marty Blecman. Includes correspondence, telegrams, personal and professional photographs, promotional materials, and articles on disco written by, and about, Blecman. In addition to being a disk jockey, Blecman was a record producer and co-founder of Megatone Records and Blecman & Hedges Productions. He was a DJ at the City Disco and Alfies and worked with Sylvester and Patrick Cowley. Blecman died of AIDS-related illnesses in 1991.
