Scope and content:

Series I includes files for the artists who were invited by Lamarre and Wolf to participate in the Starving Artists' Cookbook (SAC) project. Most of the artist files include original works of art submitted by the artists for inclusion in the artists' book publication of the Starving Artists' Cookbook; artist résumés and career summaries; individual correspondence with Lamarre and Wolf; and the original recipes that the artists cooked during their interviews with Lamarre. A total of 138 artworks were submitted by 88 artists to Lamarre and Wolf, with most works on 5 x 8 inch sheets.

Arranged alphabetically by artist surname, with unidentified materials filed at the end of the series.
