Scope and content:

Series 8 covers audiovisual materials from Miller's radio and broadcasting activities, largely through KPFA Pacifica Radio in Berkeley, spanning from the 1960s through 2000s. Recordings include Miller's interview show, The Imaged Word; readings done by Miller and others; programs Miller produced; and other miscellaneous recordings. Of particular note are recordings done during the 1960s Civil Rights Movement in Berkeley, including speeches by Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, and Huey Newton.

Access and use

Parent restrictions:
Open for research, with the exception of the born-digital materials, which are closed until processed. Note that material must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Audiovisual materials are not available in original format, and must be reformatted to a digital use copy.
