Advisory to Bob Dole, 1974-1998

Scope and content:

This series consists of documents created and accumulated by Martin Anderson while serving as an economic policy advisor on Bob Dole's 1996 presidential campaign. The documents span 1974 to 1998, with the bulk created between 1996 and 1997. They include policy documents (drafts and final version), speech scripts (draft and final version), travel documents, campaign schedules, articles, press clippings, printed matter, correspondence, and notes. Of note, the series includes a letter from Dole, an organizational chart, and notes by Martin Anderson and Annelise Anderson regarding campaign debates, planning, and policies. The series contains only one letter written by Bob dole.

Parent restrictions:
Boxes 66, 71, 124, 380, 381, 577-580, 628-632, and 849-850 may not be used without permission of the Archivist. The remainder of the collection is open for research; materials must be requested in advance via our reservation system.
