Indexes to Deed Books which recorded the transfer of land title. Each volume lists name of grantor and grantee, date, and page number of corresponding record book of deeds. Cross-referenced series is arranged chronologically overall beginning with a lettered series and continuing with a numbered series (which begins with #27). Each letter or number consists of two volumes: one alphabetically arranged by name of grantor, and one by name of grantee. Bound volumes. The deeds index has been digitized and is available as a search database on the Sacramento County Clerk Recorder's web site: http://www.ccr.saccounty.net/DocumentRecording/Pages/Index.aspx
