Client files and related materials, 1965-1998, undated

Extent:
18.75 Linear Feet (45 boxes)
Scope and content:

The series contains general files for Lunn's extensive international roster of clients, as well as documentation of appraisals, consigments, and exhibition loans. Clients are broadly defined as any individual, gallery, museum, or business with whom Lunn engaged in the acts of buying or selling works of art.

Lunn was instrumental in the formation of many notable photography collections, both public and private. Of particular note are the collections that were assembled by the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal, the Gilman Paper Company in New York, and by collectors such as Sam Wagstaff and Manfred Heiting. Files on these and many other collections are included in this series.

Also included are client correspondence files grouped according to medium (graphics and photography); client card files; and files on client matters pertaining to appraisals, consignments, and exhibition loans.

Arrangement:

The series is arranged alphabetically by the client's last name or by institution name in direct order, with the exception of the photography correspondence files which are arranged first by year and then alphabetically by the client's last name.
