Scope and content:

Contains paper files for Erlich's reporting and writing on domestic topics. Many of the stories focus on San Francisco, Oakland, and the greater Bay Area. Although a wide variety of topics are included, many stories on technology, civil and disability rights, and natural resources. Files are also included for Erlich's interviews with Maulana Ron Karenga, Martin Sheen, and Alice Walker. Also included are files about Erlich's teaching at CSU Hayward and a court case he filed against MacWEEK.

Access and use

Parent restrictions:
The collection is open for research. Note that material is stored off-site and must be requested at least 36 hours in advance of intended use. Audiovisual and born-digital materials are not available in original format, and must be reformatted to a digital use copy.
Parent terms of access:
While Special Collections is the owner of the physical and digital items, permission to examine collection materials is not an authorization to publish. These materials are made available for use in research, teaching, and private study.
