Series 5. Radio programs and other audio recordings
- Scope and content:
-
Recordings and produced programs from across Erlich's broadcast journalism career, including features and programming for NPR, KPFA (including his show Reese Erlich's Journal), KQED, and Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Christian Science Monitor Radio, Osgood File, Crossroads Radio, Market Place Radio, Latino USA, Living on Earth, Common Ground, Justice Talking, Making Contact, and others.
Main topics include labor, environment, community organizing, social problems, the criminal justice system, the arts (especially music and musicians), geopolitics and international relations (as well as many stories from the San Francisco Bay Area, where he lived). Files have been grouped according to subject or story, including categories for programs and a general "domestic stories" series. Erlich's own later annotations were transcribed when available. A small number of recordings contain Erlich speeches or panels.
