- Biographical / historical:

Harry Clarence Ladnier, Jr., was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on August 13, 1912. He was a veteran of the United States Air Forse, having served in World War II. He joined the Southern Pacific and became a switchman in Los Angeles on November 6, 1944. Mr. Ladnier was badly injured in an accident on August 11, 1960. He and his wife Eva (Brown) had a son and three daughters. Mr. Ladnier died on February 22, 1973.
