Diary (May 20-25, 1858) kept by Sarah Haight (later Mrs. Edward Tompkins) on trip to the Calaveras Big Trees and Yosemite
Valley in the wedding party of William C. Ralston and his bride; acceptance (Sept., 1872) by the Regents of the University
of California of property in Oakland given by Edward Tompkins to support a professorship of Oriental language and literature;
resolutions of condolence, 1873, by the Regents and students of the University on the death of Edward Tompkins; letters addressed
to Miss Elizabeth Knight Tompkins. The communications from the University Regents were written and signed by Andrew J. Moulder,
Secretary; W.R. Davis, George C. Edwards, D.B. Huntley and Fred V. Holman signed the resolutions from the students.
