Samuel Elbridge Walbridge (born February 15, 1826 in Erie County, New York - died February 25, 1883 in Kalamazoo, Michigan)
was a merchant, miller and proprietor of Cold Stream Mills. In his younger days, he left for the Sacramento gold rush with
his brother Frank in March of 1850. He was the son of David Safford Walbridge who served in the Michigan State Legislature
and was a two-term U.S. Representative from Michigan's 3rd District 1855-1859.
