Abstract:

1 volume, 4 oversize folders; volume contains sheet music, "This Hour is Yours," theme of The Standard Hour and the Standard School Broadcast, and 1943-1944 program for the Standard School Broadcast music courses. Includes original drawing, illustrated by D. (Dimitri) Koovshinoff, of the mural on the exterior of the NBC Radio City Building in San Francisco, two mock-up posters, one advertising the Standard School Broadcast programs "We Are Americans," the other reads "The World's Music in America Silver Anniversary." Also contains a certificate of award to the Standard Oil Company, who sponsored "Standard School Broadcast" and "The Standard Hour" and a scroll presented to Standard School Broadcast by the citizens of San Bernardino, California in 1952. Both The Standard Hour and Standard School Broadcast were music educational programs sponsored by Standard Oil and broadcasted to listeners in the western United States over NBC Pacific Coast Network from the mid-1920s until the mid-1970s.
