Sharpe house and the ferry steamer Berkeley

Abstract:

Sharpe house located on south side of Sutter St. between Powell and Mason Sts., San Francisco; was later remodelled elaborately by William Sharon (cf. accompanying note). View includes residents posing at windows, on lawn, etc., and appears to date from the 1860s. Small accompanying snapshot pictures the ferry steamer "Berkeley" in transit on San Francisco Bay.
