[Scaroni and Annand family photographs]

Abstract:

PIC boxes 1 and 2 contain studio portraits and snapshots documenting the Scaroni, Annand and Carcello families of Santa Cruz and vicinity, with an emphasis on scenes of everyday domestic life and leisure. Individuals depicted include Pio Scaroni, his wife Felicita, their daughters Corinne (Corena), Lillian, Adeline (Adalina) Annie, and other members of the Scaroni family; and spouses Dorothy Annand Carcello and Fred Carcello and their antecedents, descendants and other relatives. Most individuals are from California; a small number of portraits are from Switzerland and Italy. A few images show what is likely the Pio Scaroni Ranch north of Santa Cruz. PIC box 2 also contains an array of family papers pertaining to the Annand and Scaroni families. AX folders contain miscellaneous studio portraits and a photograph album documenting the 1937 and 1939 vacations of Dorothy Annand Carcello. ALB and fALB volumes are family photograph albums.
