Materials related to Lobo's tenures as coordinator the University of California, Berkeley Center for Latin American Studies and at the Intertribal Friendship House Community History Project in Oakland, California. Includes correspondence; materials from her field methods classes; a documentation project on Native populations of Latin America; the transcript of an interview with Madge Goodiron Jones and Joyce Keoke; newsletters and events from Bay Area American Indian and Latin American communities; an index to audio recordings made in Northern California by Frank Quinn, a fieldworker with the American Friends Service Committee; and an ethnographic study of Apaches in the Warm Springs and Monticello, New Mexico area.

Cultural anthropologist Susan Lobo specializes in community-based work and research in urban and rural Native communities in the United States and Latin America. She was coordinator of the Intertribal Friendship House Community History Project in Oakland, California from 1978-1998 and coordinator of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley from 1981-1984.
