Abstract:

150+ black and white negatives primarily of German soldiers, Nazi officials, and Hitler Youth all in uniform. Many appear to be on parade or in the field. Includes two images of a plaque in Russian and German on "liberation from Bolshevism" dated July 9, 1941, presumably monument installed by invading German forces on the Russian front. Another negative shows a soldier in front of signs (in German) for Ostende, Belgium and Lille, northern France; and several others appear to be in Romania. There are a few images of a young child and a woman, possibly the family of the photographer. Photo envelopes stamped "From the Collection of Frank C. Perreault."
