Abstract:
Album contains 48 black and white photographs taken in rural Africa, possibly Nigeria. Images include indigenous peoples,
some possibly Hausa and Yoruba; tents and thatched houses; river boats; people on horseback. The album's primary focus is
the digging of a ditch, possibly for agricultural irrigation (there is some corn planted alongside). There are a few Caucasian
people in the photographs, most likely British colonial officers.
