Copies of official letters and documents received or dispatched by Barrutia, governor of Nueva Vizcaya, concerning protection
against the Tarahumares and other Indians, defense of missions and Pedro de Rivera's 1724-28 inspection of frontier presidios.
Included are two orders from Viceroy Casafuerte, letters from Rivera and military auditor General Oliván Rebolledo, and correspondence
with Capt. José de Berrotarán, protector of the Tarahumare nation.
Copies certified in Mexico City, Dec. 17, 1793, by Bonilla.
