Abstract:
One album with more than 40 snapshots and 50 postcards, captions in English, apparently from a British expatriate in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, who traveled to Brazil, then England (including Oxford) and Germany. From dealer description:
"Trip from Brazil to England and Germany in Summer of 1937. Tied cloth-backed album. Oblong 21 cm. Contains over 40 photos
(5.5 cm x 8 cm) and 50 postcards. The photos and some of the postcards are identified briefly with white pencil captions and
titles. [...] One photo appears to have been removed from the album. Seven photos and one postcard of Brazil, including shots
of the Lacerda Elevator in Salvador. 12 photos and seven photo postcards of the trip over on the S.S. Istok. 19 photos and
22 postcards of England, mostly of Oxford but including eight photos of Spanish refugee children. Six photos and 21 postcards
of Germany, including two color postcards of Hitler."
