Abstract:
Handwritten letter, in pencil, by an American volunteer in the International Brigades [i.e. Abraham Lincoln Brigades] in Spain
fighting the fascists during the Spanish Civil War. Addressed from the Plaza del Altozano, Albacete, Spain [i.e. Seville,
Spain], he writes of certain victory over "Mr. Franco" and about having louses because, "it's sometimes one or two months
before you can get a bath." The letter is written in two parts and signed separately as "Billy" and "Wm. Brenning."
